Squamish has currently has two high schools.
Brackendale Secondary currently offers grades 8 through 10, and plans to offer grades 11 and 12 once they have renovated to create more space. Brackendale Secondary offers French Immersion, an Outdoor Club (with mountain biking), and Graphics programs. They hold an annual Arts Fest where students display their artwork, perform and write plays and simply show off their talent in any way they can. Look for Arts Fest in the spring.
Howe Sound Secondary currently offers grades 8 through 12. Located in downtown Squamish, it is close to McDonalds and other local stores so students are often seen around town (on their free time of course). Howe Sound offers Peer Counseling, often hosts exchange programs, holds many plays also has an Arts Festival. Look for their upcoming plays at the Howe Sound Theatre, they are always entertaining.
